Ashley Costigan (She/Her)

I am a Registered Social Worker with the British Columbia College of Social Workers, bringing extensive experience across inpatient and outpatient treatment, community-based programs, schools, and private practice. For the past seven years, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals in the Sea to Sky region as a Concurrent Disorders Clinician, specializing in mental health and substance use concerns.

My approach is rooted in attachment-based and trauma-informed care, and I specialize in working with individuals navigating trauma, emotional challenges, and addiction. In addition to my work with youth and adults, I have facilitated a range of group programs, including intensive day treatment, psychoeducational groups, interpersonal support groups, and skills-based programs such as DBT Skills, CBT for anxiety and depression, substance use recovery, and mindfulness-based interventions.
I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and somatic-based approaches. The therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change, and I believe in fostering a space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. I am passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals can heal and grow, and I prioritize genuine connection as the key to meaningful transformation.

Living on the unceded territory of the Squamish Nation, I feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by the mountains, forests, and ocean that make this region so special. Outside of work, I prioritize time with family and friends and seek out opportunities to disconnect from technology, move my body, and reset in nature. To stay grounded and balanced, I rely on genuine connection, moments of solitude, movement, humor, and the simple joys of everyday life. I know firsthand that healing isn’t always linear, and I believe in embracing the process with patience, curiosity, and openness to growth.
